Thermal Rebate Door

The thermal rebate door system is an ideal solution for residential and light commercial applications. Specifically designed to be compatible with the Kestrel range of residential products, this door utilises the same profiles, therefore offering a uniform design across the board.

Features and benefits

This versatile product is suitable for a range of different uses in residential properties. It can be used either as a front entrance door to the home, offering an alternative to traditional front doors, or as French doors connecting the home to the garden.

  • Thermal efficiency: thermally efficient with U values as low as 1.4 W/m2K*.
  • Slimline profile option: Minimise sightlines and maximise views while maintaining outstanding thermal insulation.
  • Flexible leaf dimensions: Leaf heights of up to 2700 mm and weights of up to 100 kg (2300 mm and 80 kg for slimline option) are possible.
  • Glazing options: Will accept insulating glass units and infill panels of max. 28 mm in thickness.
  • Durability: Tested wind resistance, air permeability and watertightness demonstrate the system’s ability to withstand external stresses.

* Based on AD L 2021 sizes with standard Ug 1.0 W/m2K DGU, ultimate spacer as per Approved Document L requirements.

Design options

With a number of flexible design options, the system can be adapted to meet the requirements of even the most diverse residential projects.

  • Surface finishes: Mill finish, etched and anodised options are available along with single and dual-colour surfaces to suit every design requirement.
  • Internal or external beading: Internal beading as standard, but option to construct with external beading if required.
  • Fixed light versions: The option to add fixed sidelights or fan lights offers increased ventilation and natural light penetration.
  • Range of opening types: Comprehensive range of profiles and accessories enable both inward and outward-opening doors.
  • Versatile configurations: The system can be constructed as single and double doors for added design freedom.
  • Surface finishes: Mill finish, etched and anodised options are available along with single and dual-colour surfaces to suit every design requirement.
